We compare alternatives with no obvious common denominator. Whether in energy efficiency or technology development, carefully calculated analysis matters just as much as human and commercial judgement.
Our projects begin with a business opportunity assessed at the intersection of our commercial and technological background, sector-specific networks and judgement. We do not fund third-party projects in a hands-off manner; we take an active role in developing primarily proprietary ideas.
Initial technology and commercial feasibility are funded from our own resources, non-dilutive grants or customer contracts. Investor capital follows only after the initial phase validates our expectations.

OWNER AND PRINCIPAL
Gerő Barnabás
Barnabas received his BA in sociology in Hungary, followed by graduate degrees in political science, sociology and business management from Central European University, the New School for Social Research and Columbia Business School.
He worked as an investment banker covering Eastern Europe and later as an entrepreneur in Silicon Valley and Hungary. He has launched four startups and raised venture funding for them.
Pro Environ works with a network of individual contributors, specialists, service providers and established companies in energy efficiency and new space.
